Ben Folds is a singer-songwriter, musician, composer and record producer. He was notably the frontman and pianist of the alternative rock band Ben Folds Five, has recorded a number of solo albums and collaborated with musicians like William Shatner, Regina Spektor or Sara Bareilles, among others. Folds came as a Fellow at the session The Neuroscience of Art: What are the Sources of Creativity and Innovation? He especially wanted to know if neuroscience could offer him help in writing a song, as he finds that melodies have personalities. "Sometimes curiosity and interest lead where you don't expect and I always intend to follow my heart - this conference helped confirm I'm headed in the right direction.
