Ruth Bader Ginsberg first came to Salzburg as part of the faculty in 1984, when she was Judge of the US Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit, prior to her appointment to the US Supreme Court. Justice Ginsberg returned to Salzburg in 1998 and remained involved as a member of the Advisory Council of the Lloyd N. Cutler Center on the Rule of Law.
